To increase the performance rating of the Division of City Schools Quezon City in the Alternative Learning System-Accreditation and Equivalency Test (ALS A&E), the second run of Division Assessment Test for ALS Learners was administered to the Registered ALS learners on last April 29, 2017 for Congressional District II of Quezon City. It was held at Batasan Hills National High School wherein 37 learners of ALSA BUHAY Payatas Center, 12 from elementary and 25 from secondary level joined the activity.
AfSince this activity is a simulation of the actual A&E Test, the guidelines for administering the ALS A&E Test set by the Bureau of Education Assessment is used. In addition, the examiners for this practice test were the Instructional Managers, District ALS Coordinators, Mobile Teachers and Literacy Volunteers assigned by the Test Registration Officer (TRO) in each Testing Centers. Because of this, the staff of ALSA BUHAY Payatas Center also experienced being an examiner/proctor of the test.
Overall, the activity was smoothly administered to all learners. Though some of our learners didn’t reach the passing score, the results are still good since the passing score of this exam is higher compare to the actual A & E Test. Furthermore, the practice test boost learners’ confidence, motivate them more, and physically and psychological prepared them for the upcoming A & E Test.
