March has been labeled as the Fire Prevention Month because statistics show that a lot of fire accidents always happen during this month. An overwhelming number of fires occur in the home and different business establishment, so it’s better to be ready and prevent this life- threatening case to ensure the safety of everyone.
In line with this, Puso Sa Puso Edukasyon Inc. in partnership of BFP (Bureau of Fire Protection) of Quezon City’s local government organized a Fire Safety and Prevention Awareness seminar held at ALSA BUHAY Payatas Center last April 27, 2017. 30 learners from 4th batch of all level attended the said activity. It was facilitated by SF02 Edwin Pasilicio (Senior Fire Officer 2) Chief Crew of Fire Substation 2 QC Fire District and FO2 Hannah Dumadag (Fire Officer 2).
The primary objective of this activity is to raise awareness and basic understanding of fire risks and different fire prevention safety tips, such as steps and procedures that need to be followed in the event of fire, knowing how to use fire extinguisher and basic first aid which they can use in case of emergency situation.
At the end of the seminar, in behalf of Puso Sa Puso Edukasyon, Inc., Sr. Frances awarded the two speakers with a certificate of appreciation for their valuable contribution and sharing to ALSA BUHAY learners. Participants also received a certificate of attendance.
